About our speakers:

Mohan Iyer serves as Mesirow Financial’s chief information officer. He joined the firm in 2013 and is focused on the firm’s technology strategy and improving and institutionalizing core IT processes such as disaster recovery/business continuity, project management, infrastructure monitoring, release management, risk management and information security. He has successfully implemented several cost-optimization and risk-mitigation strategies in these last three years.

He previously worked as a client partner and practice leader for financial services at Sogeti, delivering several strategy and IT transformation engagements.

He earned an MS from DePaul University and a BS from University of Madras, India.

 Ryan Surratt is the VP responsible for IT Governance, Risk and Security at Mesirow Financial.  He has over 17 years of experience in Information Technology within the financial industry.  His background includes a proven track record of implementing and supporting multiple technologies in a dynamic environment resulting in reduced cost, improved efficiency, and increased availability and productivity. Current focus is to define and execute IT security strategy that aligns risk with ever-evolving regulatory, business & customer requirements and improve IT security and compliance practices of the firm. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Ryan also holds a variety of professional certifications including ITIL, VMware, Microsoft, and Claritas.
