Executive Sponsor: Justin Nemeth – President AITP Chicago

Mission: Data Management and Analytics are the foundation of IT services.  Few areas are undergoing greater change, growth or evolution of capabilities. Almost every month, new data management, storage or analytics tools are emerging, many with differences so profound that their capabilities and techniques to manage them demand sustained attention. IT leaders must stay ahead of their business partners to be prepared and deliver IT services based on these new approaches. The role of legacy systems is being challenged, requiring  IT leadership attention to the modernization before business needs exceed capacity or capabilities. Aimed at IT leaders, management and those want to share or learn about data capture, management, storage, processing, from legacy to noSQL, Hadoop or new analytics tools, this group can help you.

Objective of the Data Management and Analytics SIG is to provide participants a forum for the presentation and exchange of ideas among IT leaders related to the technology, techniques, skills and processes to stay abreast in this rapidly moving area.

Focus Areas: Big Data Tools & Techniques, Data Analytics Tools & Techniques, Role of the Data Scientist, Integration of Big Data & Analytics with Business Processes
