Topic: The Crown Jewels - Transformational Data & Analytics
Data & analytics have the potential to transform with several available use cases and value propositions across the typical organization. Yet most entities struggle with an effective path forward and miss out on realizing this untapped value. Often, there are less-than effective, and even failed attempts, to take on this important strategic initiative.
The path forward starts with a well-defined data strategy that lays out the roadmap to guide the entity to becoming a data driven organization. This roadmap will include a foundation phase of a data platform that will unify the organization’s data sources into a data warehouse value engine. From there, the company can begin to begin to unlock value through dashboarding and predictive analytics to support the delivery of the value props.
Of course, data governance must be put in place to manage, protect, and align the data platform with the organization. And most importantly, the people and process side of this strategy must be identified and addressed. Only through this complete journey can a company become truly data-driven and unlock the full value of their Crown Jewels.
