How do machines really learn? Some AI systems “imitate” by copying expert behavior, while others learn through “experience” by trial and error. But humans add something extra: our emotions guide us when to persist, when to adapt, and when to change direction. In this session, we’ll explore how the balance of imitation and experience shapes the way AI learns today and why this balance matters for the agents of tomorrow. We’ll dive into how the next generation of AI agents might evolve on their own by integrating cognitive-emotional signals likcuriosity, frustration, and clarity. The talk is a glimpse into practical design andresearch on how these agents could be built, how they might adapt in real time, and what it means for trust and personalization. Join us to see why the future of AI isn’t just about smarter predictions, it’s about building self-evolving companions that will improve over time.

Refreshments and light snacks will be provided
